■ OUR WHY

At Yogalittle, it is our focus to improve mental health access in underserved communities.

“Many Black students are experiencing paralyzing anxiety and grief. It’s hard to talk about, and it’s hard for them to find help.” — Dr. April Clay, LMFT

While access to mental health resources has been a wide disparity in the black community, post-pandemic life has only exacerbated the need to provide these resources as early as possible. We are passionate about eradicating school-to-prison pipelining for our communities and offer alternative ways to combat the mental health crisis in lasting ways.

■ ABOUT US

CULTIVATE AND
FOSTER GROWTH.

Yogalittle is a little bit of a lot of positive habit building practices which support the bio-individual blossoming of each child through non-judgmental discovery, one breath at a time.

Est. in 2019, our community was born of the need to cultivate a safe space for children of color to exist in the fullness of their own experience while finding their light and shining it bright.

For us, it’s imperative that black and brown children are not only included, but celebrated in discovery of their gifts and emotions through the wellness community.

Our sole desire is to expose all children to the tools available to navigate life with grace and ease. We emphasize the integration of key social emotional habits from breathwork, to movement, art and everything in between.

■ MEET OUR FOUNDER

MEET OUR
FOUNDER

Naja is a wildly passionate advocate for the overall well-being of every little humxn among us.

She has created a space for the full-bodied exploration of each child’s potential to live a remarkable life by celebrating every part of who they show up as.

Naja’s early introduction to team sport and movement was the catalyst to exploring new and healthy habits of play for herself, and every kid watching. From elementary school volunteer, camp counselor to big (and little) sister of 6 siblings, Naja realized her strengths in both physical and emotional leadership early on. Beginning her journey in healthful practice 10 years ago, Naja left traditional schooling behind to pursue her call in creating accessibility in wellness for communities of color.

With over 1,000 combined hours in yoga, meditation, breath work, childhood development, and mindfulness training, Naja has served her immediate family and friends, as well as communities of color in need of many vital life resources made accessible through Yogalittle. As an Afro-Latinx woman, breaking stigmas in and around receiving emotional support through life is a deeply ingrained calling for Naja.

Through the wellbeing services she provides, Naja is optimistic that real change is taking root in the minds and hearts of communities who need consistent mental health resources and support. It is Naja’s ultimate goal that all humxns, big or little, be equipped with the necessary tools to realize the infinite possibility within us all. She plans to continue playing an integral role in bridging the gaps in wellness accessibility for the most vulnerable communities.
